Things Left Unsaid
Many are the times I should have paused and said Thank You,
For all of the many things, big and little, that you do;
I hope that in my eyes my thankfulness you may have read,
Because “Thank You” seems to be one of those things left unsaid.
So let me say “I Love You” as many times as I can,
And how I love the way that together our lives have ran;
Because it’s for sure the one thing in life that I would dread,
I never want “I Love You” to be the thing left unsaid.
There have been plenty of times an apology I’ve owed,
And that I was sorry I should have said or somehow showed;
But my excuse or stance I probably argued instead,
‘Cause “I’m Sorry” seems to be one of those things left unsaid.
Those simple words “I Love You” let me often times repeat,
I am so very glad that my life you have made complete;
And it is certain the one thing in life that I do dread,
I never want “I Love You” to be the thing left unsaid.
I know that often with others about you I have boast,
And to someone else I have claimed you were the best or most;
But these compliments to you I probably failed to spread,
“I’m Proud Of You” seems to be one of those things left unsaid.
And so “I Love You” very happily to you I share,
I am so very blessed with your wonderfulness and care;
Because it’s still sure the one thing in life that I do dread,
I never want “I Love You” to be the thing left unsaid.
