Honey,

 

It’s Valentine’s Day and on this special date,

The love of all couples we lift and celebrate.

There are cards and nice gifts, dinners and shows to do,

But what I will do most, is that I’ll dream of You.

 

I’ll have to go to work and busy I will be,

There’ll be all kinds of things people want out of me,

And I’ll scurry along trying hard to get through,

Yet during all of it, I’ll be dreaming of You.

 

Then there’ll be that long drive to our kids we will head,

To see our granddaughters and help put them to bed.

We’ll talk about things going on or that we’ll do,

And all of that time still I’ll be dreaming of You.

 

I will dream about things that have happened in the past,

How we found this great Love that forever will last;

Those early times when closer together we grew,

And how I chose to share all of my dreams with You.

 

I’ll dream of our future, things still to come about,

 Places still to visit, things not to do without;

For there are still many things left for us to do,

So much still in life that I dream I’ll do with You.

 

For I dream each moment together that we share,

Of this great Love we have, of our lives full of care.

I dream every second of this life we live through,

And I’m so very glad to live this dream with You.
